Corporate video experience as a cameraman / director:
ICRC - Voices of Combatants - Congo, Sudan, El Salvador, Philippines: this is an educational DVD aimed at child soldiers, jihads, militias, drug barons etc.It is used by delegates of the International Committee of the Red Cross to promote basic knowledge of International Humanitarian Law. I produced, filmed + edited this video.

British Army Everest Expedition - Nepal: in team with Simon Atkins I filmed and edited 30 short videos about 8 junior soldiers. On a daily basis we uploaded these clips to an Army website and managed to operate even in snow blizzards and at altitudes of up to 5600m. UNHCR - Fund raising Video - Colombia: I filmed several reports about UNHCR's efforts to protect millions of refugees and IDPs (Internally Displaced People). One of the stories focused on the Embera Indians close to the Panama border. It's a drug trafficking route and illegal armed groups are terrorizing the Emberas.

Trinity Marketing Video: This 5 minute video is presented by Pippa Dyson, a senior member of the Trinity team. It explains the business of event management and presentation coaching. I produced this video within five days and worked in collaboration with producer/writer Kim Carpenter. It is an example for what I can offer as a director, cameraman, steadicam operator and editor

Stern's Music - "Mi-Negra" by Kad Achouri: I shot and edited this 4 minute music video within 3 days. I was restricted by a very tight budget but I managed to create a very special atmosphere by combining amateur concert footage with additional shots of the French musician Kad Achouri in the streets of London. The video clip 'Mi-Negra' was used for the UK release of a new CD.

The Kids' Cookery School: this is a 4 minute promotional video which I shot and edited within 2 days. It's a typical example how video can be used as an effective communication tool. Video allows to portray not only facts and figures but as well emotions and that's what's needed to portray the essence of this impressive charity.

Deutsche Bank - Service Partnership Group: as a cameraman and editor I was involved in producing an internal marketing video for a new IT service department within Deutsche Bank. This 12 minute video is distributed on CD-Rom and internal websites.

Christian Aid - Angola: as a cameraman I was involved in covering a fact finding tour of different British church representatives. We visited schools and refugee camps. The footage was used for news coverage at different regional TV stations and as well for the Christian Aid website: www.christianaid.org.uk

Pfizer - UK Marketing Conference 2002: with 2 cameras we shot live footage of a 3 days conference and as an editor I used my mobile editing system to produce several highlights videos for immediate projection during the plenary meetings. This was a great great opportunity to emphasize the enthusiasm and creative brilliance of Pfizer's sales teams

Unilever - Seminar for the ASDA / Wal*Mart business unit: for two days Unilever sales representatives discussed strategies how to deal with the growing European influence of Wal*Mart. The seminar was filmed with two cameras and I edited on site several video clips with summaries of different topics.

New Look - Store Tour at Lakeside in Essex: within 2 days I shot and edited a 5 minutes video about a store tour at the New Look Lakeside branch. The video is presented by the local store manager, under laid with trendy dance music and inter cut with comments of customers. Mobile editing on location was a great asset!

Mothercare World - Restructuring Rotherham:
within 5 days I filmed, directed and edited a 10 minutes training video about the creation of a new Mothercare World supermarket. I followed employees with a handheld camera and used them as presenters - a very successful style to build up their profile within the company.

CAFOD - Fair Trade Campaign Video: a 9 min. report about the negative effects of NAFTA on the Mexican maize producing industry. Shot on Mini-DV and edited with Final Cut Pro Software the video will be used by "Catholic Aid For Overseas Development".

Mothercare - Status Quo Video: At the start of a restructuring  program  within Mothercare shops I had to shoot and edit a 7 minutes video with customer comments about the status quo of the Mothercare business.

TESCO - Eastern European Conference: I produced video clips about several management teams presenting their operations in Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary. The use of my Steadicam helped portraying the vast space in these new TESCO hypermarkets. Until the last minute I used mobile editing to update video clips during the conference.

CAFOD - Rehabilitation of Child Soldiers in Sierra Leone: a 9-min. fund raising video for the UK NGO "Catholic Aid For Overseas Development". I used a Mini-DV camera and digitized the footage on location for instant non-linear editing. Despite the very hot and humid climate the DV equipment performed superbly.

Unilever - ECR Conference: I shot and edited several video clips which were used for a conference presentation organized jointly by ASDA and Unilever. For the first time I used DVCAM and Mobile non-linear editing equipment.

Fighting by the Rules: a 28-minute educational film for the ICRC explaining the history and the relevance of the Geneva Conventions. This compelling video will be used in military academies world-wide. It was a major challenge to find archive footage about wars covering the whole 20th century and to develop a concise but neutral point of view. Gwynne Roberts scripted the film and I acted as producer, researcher, cameraman and editor.
